All of our sack holders are finished in a special anti-bacterial polyester powder coated finish to a colour of your choice which utilizes active anti-bacterial technology and actively inhibits bacterial growth, it is also effective against many strains of bacterium including e-coli and staphylococcus aureus (resistant strain) and also helps to protect against MRSA.
The active ingredient is a proven anti-bacterial agent which is bound into the polyester powder coating during its production which allows the efficiency to be maintained over time.
A conventional powder coating has no active anti-bacterial properties however the anti-bacterial powder coating that is applied to our products has been tested by independent laboratories to the requirements of the internationally recognized test standards JIS Z 2801:2000 and ASTM E 2180-01 and it is also a listed product with the European biocidal directive.
